Dealing with Recalls and Service Bulletins
I just bought a used 2004 with 950 mile on it. It appears that none of the recalls or service b's were performed on it. Anyone have suggestions on how to get the dealer to adderss all of the items.

uh, no. Recall is a recall. If there is a recall out on the car they have to do it. They have to get your permission to NOT do it.

Yeah, a recall is something they absolutely have to take care of, but a recall is different than just a service bulletin. For example, if your brakes dont squeek, dont expect to get free pads.

They are correct that there are a number of problems covered by Technical Service Bulletins (see http://www.finishlineperformance.com...ins_index.html) and that you must experience the problem before you get the fix. That is not as unreasonable as it sounds because it is unlikely that you will need more than 10%-20% of all these fixes. The only big issue, not in this list is condensation inside the front or back light fixtures, which routinely requires replacement of the fixture.
Happy driving!

There are many stories of good and bad dealers here. If one service center will not do the work for you I suggest take it to another.
