Debating selling my 99vr4

So i went to the mazda dealership today with my friend because she wanted to look at the 6, anyways long story short, i grew veryyyy accustomed to the Rx8 while i was sitting in the showroom for hours on end. so much so that i think im considering getting one, only problem is that some might say the car i have now is better. Currently i drive a 99' 3000gt Vr-4 and as many of you know that is the last year they came out and the last body and there were only 287 made. I love the fact that my car is Twin turbo and AWD but it has too much power for me...I know that sounds wierd but i never had such a powerfull car before. I know that i should expect better handling out of the rx8 and thats mainly what i want. But i wanted some feedback from you owners, how you like your car, what problems it has given you, and so on, especially those that sold their TT cars (minus the Rx7 for an Rx8)

Honestly, the car is great but I have an automatic which is not as sweet and fast as the manual. A few things that disappoint me....gas mileage,(13-15 city) warming it up and the hesitation I get if it's not fully warm. Other than that I am very happy with it. It's beautiful, it has smooth power, handles awesomely and has many neat features. If you don't mind having to check the oil every so often(I check every 700 miles or so and it has not needed any oil yet) and are ok with possibly getting lower gas mileage than what is stated and don't mind about having to have a wrm engine before shut off....than go for it! It's my first sport car so I have no other comparisons only that the 4 doors with comfortable back seats are awesome!!!

I had a '96 SL until about a week ago. Truth be told, I never had any problems with it. Mechanically the only thing I ever had to do besides routine maintenance (60k service) was replace a clutch master/slave cylinder set (seals went in both). Other than that, it was just tires and oil changes. I'll miss driving the 3000, but I'm not regretting getting the -8 one bit. It drives fantastic, is solid, and handles wonderfully. Granted it's not a twin turbo w/ AWD, but it's still a wonderful car.

Those 3000 GT's were a unique car. Back when they were selling them knew they couldn't give them away. I remember some dealers offering them for 50% off sticker. Unheard of. Now with one in good shape, you can get near original sticker out of them. Again unheard of. If you decided to get out of it, sell it on your own. You'll do much better. But if you can keep both, I'd do it! If only it was the retractable hard top ...
