I've been around there looking at 8's a year or so ago. Damn navigation unit got very confused somewhere in there, but I can't remember what town I was in that it kept wanting to make me do u-turns, and kept me going in circles.

When you go and look at it, if you don't get it that day, get the vin and go to a mazda dealer and have them pull the history up that way you have an edge, and maybe able to talk them down if some of the recalls haven't been done yet.

I think I want an 8?

Hi guys! You alll seem to know everything there is to know about the RX8! So i'm hoping you can help me...

I think they're beautiful cars. I'd really like to purchase a used one 04-08 sometime in the next few weeks. But i've heard horror stories about the engines blowing up, excess oil being needed... "A lot" of mechanical issues...

Is this car really drawn to more issues then a piston based car? If so... Are the newer models a little bit more reliable?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you RX CLUB!

they just need a little more TLC than other cars the 04s did need some work but as long as all the recalls were done you should be fine i have an 04 and mine works great at almost 90k (knock on wood) that being said i have religiously maintained mine.

I love mines but taking some financial hits has proven I can no longer afford this car...and I dont even make car payments but when I look at my bank statement and see I spent $80 of gas in 3 days it kills me...
