im thinking they just wanted one in each vehicle, one on the drivers side for either left hand drive or right hand drive and then they just didnt care

Sorry, i remembered wrong, just went to check it again today, and there was actually only one behind the driver's seat and none behind the passenger...

but then they would have picked one (at least I would think so). For those who have power seats, they can only put the switches to control them on one side... so obviously they have to design those to fit one side, which would only lead me to believe they would pick one side for the pouch (or both). The only reason I can see this is if there is some step in production that ends up applying to both sides of the seats without interfering. We/I would need to know more about the production order before we could know for sure if that would explain it. There has to be some kind of answer...

Not really, they mixed up the seat covers and then just threw them on.

yeah, but it seems to have gone on for multiple years with no pattern. Unless they just didnt care which side, I would assume they might try to keep it in a static position just to have consistency in the build.

i think there is a pattern, we just haven't noticed it yet.
