Definatley Monday for me....

I was sitting at a stop sign near my house, There was a 2001 Toyota Corrola in front of me waiting on traffic to clear. Suddenly I see his reverse lights come on and hear his tires chirp! I layed on the horn and tried to get it in reverse, Managed to start rolling back a little, but he scrapes the length of his passanger side down my car right around the drivers side headlight!

My initial reaction was "I'm gonna kick this Guy's A$$ !" The he gets out of the car and can harly walk. After a few minuites of conversation he says that he is 85 years old.

Lots of paint scrape and transfer on the bumper cover and headlight, warped my fender a little and pushed it back, broke my Clear Corner. Headlight still works but its out of alignment and shoots almost straight down.

Here is a cell phone pic....

That sucks, too bad he wasn't a high school ricer so you could kick the sh*t out of him and ruin his driving record forever.

Yea... The guy only had liability on his vehicle.. so he is screwed... caved in the whole side of his car.. cant open either of the passanger side doors on his. I was actually supprised so much damage to his with so little to mine. I was also afraid the air bag was gonna deploy !

but why reverse? I don't get why, if the car was already in drive, would it magically end up in reverse?

His house is on that corner, so he was gonna back, back into his driveway and go the opposite direction.

BTW.. Got the insurance check today...It should cover everything $3650.00

Got my car back from the shop.. only took 3 days in the shop... had to wait about a month for the shop to have time to start on it. It looks like its brand new! shop buffed the whole car. The shop I took it to mainly restores old muscle cars. car looks better than it did when I bought it... no rock chips on the front.

We need to have older people take the license test again at a certain age, and possibly a vision test. theyre almost worse than young drivers on the road

Doesn't help. My grandfather failed the vision test at the CA DMV and they gave him a license anyway.

my friend and i were at a light last night and the land rover in front of us just starts rolling back. my friend is driving (his parents caliber) and he is honking like crazy. he tries to get it into reverse (slow cvt) and then there isnt a lot of space behind us either and he cant back up a lot. still honking like crazy and rolling slightly back, the land rover still hit us. luckily he was already moving back so the impact was pretty slight. just broke his license plate frame.

still, wtf...

Wow Kersh4w... the guy that hit me, I saw his reverse lights come on, and I heard his tire chirp....... Not sure which is worse... some guy not paying attention and letting his car roll back, or a guy not paying attention and doing a high power reverse..
