In desperate need advice, selling my 8

Hi everyone, I'm a new member but I used to lurk around and browsed pictures of other members' 8 when I first bought my 8's back then in beginning in '05.

Anyway, I'm looking to sell my 8 since I'm going abroad for several years. I live in Bay Area. Been researching around for the value of my used car but so little info can be extracted from so much reading.

Just got my car (original owner) appraised at car fax. It is an '04 Titanium Gray RX-8 GT fully loaded except navi 6sp about 28k miles. Cosmetically and mechanically they said my car were excellent. However, they said it has some frame damage and they appraised my car for $11000 . It's so damn low.

Anyway it has been involved in two accidents before (no airbag coming out):
>> One involve a car running into my stationary 8 (in a parking lot). I was in the car warming my 8 and here came the SUV. Anyway the light got damaged not so badly.
>> The second one involve my car hitting a pole in the parking lot (clumsily in the morning) on the driver side. The driver door was replaced.

Anyway, I'm wondering how much should I ask for my price if I'm selling to a private party. I'm thinking $13500. Do you guys think it's too low or too high? This is my first time selling my car so. And this is a tricky question, how far should I be honest about the accident? I think I should tell the details but am I being a fool :p compared to what people usually do? Sorry to the mods and everyone if this is spamming the forum. Thanks!

just goto autotrader.com or cars.com and look at the going prices for rx8 in the area and price accordingly.

yes please be honest about the accidents. yes I'm sure many try to hide prior accident to potential sellers but think of it like this....Would you like to plop down 15-20k on a vehicle you were told was never wrecked, just to find out later it had frame damage from two earlier accidents? Do the right thing.

Yes, disclose the accident damage and try out a couple of feeler prices. Start high then gradually move lower. The market will bite when the price is right.
