I want more of the RX-8: Detroit Auto Show
I just watched the webcast from Mazda at the Detroit Auto Show and i have to say the info on the RX-8 was weak. I mean I doubt they would have given me any information about it that i didn't know, but they hardly talk about it at all. they spent about 15 minutes talking about aspects of the Mazda 6, then introduced the RX-8, opened the doors, said that they were excited to show it, and then called for lunch. WTF!!!
Oh well, like i said before i doubt they would have been able to tell me anything that i didn't already know.
Me thinks Mazda isn't too sure the RX-8 will be a hit. Also, I'll try again but i doubt they will have anything more.

NAIAS info...
Lemme tell you man. I just got back for a press day there and it was SWEET. The shoe for the past 2 years ahs more or less sucked, but this year was bad ***.
Mazda booth was SWEET! FD on the wall with a RX-Evolve {{shudder}} and the RX-8 looked AMAZING in person. I wasn't thrilled with the webcast, or pics I've seen of the RX-8, but when it's in front of you, it's totally different.
The Mazda 6 looks pretty damn sweet too... check my other post for some more info and goodies.

Oh, don't get me wrong i think the RX-8 is amazing all by itself and should be shown off more. I can't wait to get behind the wheel of one, and i wish it was here now.
I just didn't like the webcast, they didn't give RX-8 enough time on stage. I also thought it was ridiculous that they brought three mazda engineers to talk about the 6 and didn't talk technically at all about the RX-8. Which is think is far more interesting a machine. I guess you can say I'm a little bitter about Mazda not showing off the RX-8 more at the press confrence.
I wish i could go to the auto show, but i'm living in the east and that's a little too far for me to travel. So, i guess my title for the tread wasn't quite accurate.
