summernicole1 is it even a MT?? I will **** my pants if its an AT.

Dmazda, i dont think you got such a bad deal on yours, pay these people no mind. As about 95% of 2004 model owners will tell you, they run just fine. Your car has just over 7k on it. As long as you have all the proper recalls, TSB's and what nots done to it, your car is practically new (considering it was well kept and not parked outside for most of its life). Dont sweat it. Enjoy it.

Also that included with the RX8 purchase is the 5 year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. So, if any of the recalls or gremlins come out. I have more than enough time to sort them out. If you're happy with the price you paid then that's all that should matter to you. However, you did overpay for your vehicle. KBB is several thousand over what true Black Book value is, but as I said... all that should matter is if you like your car and are happy with the price that you paid.

wow you're ignorant to think 24k for an 04 is a good price!! These cars book for 14.5k clean resale in nada which is what dealerships actually use! Think about it, you can buy a new base rx8 for a couple thousand more than that! Just for fun go get a trade appraisal done on that! I guarantee u won't get more than 14-15k for that!! If you're extremely lucky

trade is different than buying.. they will make profit of it. although I do agree the 19k she spent is high... 15-16k sounds about right for buying from dealerships. I got mine for 18.9k a full year ago... so ya.. if they will take it back, go for it OP, and continue your 8 search for either newer at that price, or cheaper for that year.

Better! They still made some money off u but its still a decent deal. You own for about a grand above book. Now you and the dealership is happy! I wish my customers were like u! Haha. Enjoy it.

Yea, but as you know things are different in your state. There is far less circulation and things like that are much harder to find. I'd say you did very good for your location

Not bad for hawaii. Even if it in the other 49 states, that would be a CRUSHING deal, but not bad for where youre from

I can already tell she's not that excited about it.. It's just a purty new car.. hah She hasn't even described it..

It's so refreshing when I meet a girl who seriously loves cars and everything about them. My current gf had this to say about her next car:

"I don't really care what kind it is or if it's fast. I just want it to be reliable, and pink."

Dealers dont use KBB man! Check the thread "Need help from a salesman" and I explained this in detail in that thread.

At $15,600...yes you did. Much much better than 19K. Now you can use the extra money for mods. BTW get a Mazda dealership to run the VIN and make sure all the recalls have been performed.

Its a lot of ppl on here who think everyone's a dumbass when it's really them. No question is a dumb question when you really don't know the answer. There will always be someone here who will answer you without all the BS.

Hey dmazda, ignorant is a relative term - probably uncalled for in this situation.

If you think your car "....never saw rain...." and that the salesman was the actual owner, I have some swamp in Florida you might like!

Ignorant is as ignorant acts......

Get a new gf, mine says stuff like "We need to replace the front RE-01R's, I'm getting too much midcorner understeer."

Yea, it wasnt a bad deal. Sounds like the dealer WANTED to earn you business and you took about $1000 out of the salesmans POCKET by the price dropping that low.
