Differences between GT & base?

^ it comes in handy though.....i too, used to own a sport, and my gt by far is much better, especially in the rain, to have that traction control at your disposal is just perfect, plus those heated seats after a hard day at work only makes it better, not to mention the GT also has heated side mirrors for those cold days when all your window are fogged up and cold, no need to go out an wipe those mirrors down.
Dude, you live in Santa Ana

And that matters why? I live in CA and I've never used a sun roof in my life. I already made my case with the leather seats. And upgrading to the GT package just for the nav is not worth the money. Get a Garmin for a few hundred bucks.
Like I said, the Sport has everything you need and nothing you don't

The flip up screen is the nav screen. I like it because it is out of the way until you need it. And unlike the Garmin my wife has, I don't have to put it away out of site so someone won't break in just to steal it. There is a kit you can get that will allow you to play movies on the screen also. Kind of expensive for something that is actually illegal to use while moving on a road.
Oh, the 8's nav is operated by a joystick behind the shifter. It is a little irritating. The wife's Garmin is touch screen and much easier to use. Oh, and it cost a fraction.

because you say these things are pointless with a sports car...Not everyone goes out to race in the 8. I use my sunroof all the time in the summer cuz I hate using AC. And having luxuries is nice...like do you really need an 8...no but you want it :P

As for needed the 8, I absolutely don't need it. It's my weekend toy that I use for cruising and autox. So less is more as far as I'm concerned.
As for the nav, if it wasn't so damn expensive it would be nice to have. I had a portable in my WRX that I forgot to put away so someone decided to do a little smash and grab
