Disable Redline Warning Buzzer

Disable Redline Warning Buzzer
Yes I searched. Is there any cost effective way of getting rid of that awful buzzer that kicks in every time at 8500? Maybe there is a fuse that can be set to disable it somewhere? Does anyone know where the hell the buzz actually comes from? if so then maybe I could just remove the actual buzzer itself, although i would like to remove whatever process is involved with telling the damn thing to buzz in the first place. The stupid thing ruins the perfect engine note which I would like to hear at redline. I paid for 9000 revs damnit, so let me hear them. BTW, I'm not an 8 hater, I actually love mine, I just have this one gripe with it...

The buzz is a trademark of rotaries. It is the music of Success. It is a constant reminder that you chose to be different. On that note, mine isn't that loud so maybe mine is defective and I don't experience the same level of noise you do.

I love the buzzer man, let's you know when you have to change in first or second and I just like the sound of the beep. The FC version pissed me off, especially in that old school top gear video when it was up against the Porsche 924.

FYI, it's best to shift just before the beep anyway, your power is already starting to drop off if you wait for the beep.

The engine practically drowns out the beep at redline. It takes effort to hear it, I can't imagine how it's keeping you from enjoying the sound of the engine.

They're probably doing that to avoid having to shift back down soon after due to decelerating for a turn or something. That applies more to tracks than roads. You are well past peak power by the time you hit redline.

sure there is - to stay higher in the rev band in the new gear. and if you have a flash like the RB one you definitely want to stay in it to 9500

Disabling the buzzer is ridiculous. I haven't driven in a RX8 in a couple of years, and I can still hear the exact pitch of the buzzer in my head, and I bet you guys never forget it either. It's frickin' cool. It's part of experiencing a rotary.
