I haven't get the RX 8 yet just want you guys opinion on this, how much are the maintenance ? The normal maintenance per month? where do you park your 8 , will u fear of people vandalising your car....?

 

What kind of question are these .... *sigh*... how old are you? 5 ?

are you afraid of walking on the streets? cuz a bus might just go off the road and kill you on site. not to mention all the wild dogs, oh yeah plus there could be some crazy dude might just take a knife out and stab your ***.

theres no *set* normal maintenance per month.

I've already gotten keyed, barely 6 months of ownership. Cost $571 to fix.

 

I worry every single day about my 8. It is normal to worry bout something exposed to the world that you love so much. Is prob like how parents worry bout their kids. You just have to take as many precautions as u can and hope for the best.
Get this...my live-in girlfrend takes my car to work every day (my work is 50 mile round trip, hers is only 10)....so you can imagine how worried i get!! LOL

 

mainteinance : gas, expensive

park : in the driveway

worry : hell yea

 

Same here Lucky my car is white and did'nt go to bare metal.

 

my car has gotten hit twice by inconsiderate drivers in parking lots. i havent even owned her 6 months...

of course i worry.

 

nope...I just fear another engine will blow up.

I dont fear vandalism per say... more fear of idiots that park too close and dont give a **** about opening their doors at mach 3.

For instance i parked my car in an empty dark parking lot and went for a walk... there was a group of 20 teenagers running around causing trouble... knocking over garbage cans in the middle of the street... etc etc...

I came back to my car and 3-4 of them were around it... i thought they might have been looking in to see if they could steal anything (maybe they were?)... but as i drove away the entire group waved and gave thumbs up, and i could hear one guy say "thats a fu**ing awesome car".

So the only thing i worry about is idiots parking too close in parking lots, and parking down town during fri/sat nights (Because a lot of drunk idiots will run up the hood of your car, to your roof, then trunk and jump to the next car.) I saw this a few times, and once when i was walking to another car i had owned... the guy is lucky he didnt run over my car cuz i woulda close lined him across the neck when he walked by me.

I wouldnt worry about the car being a target per say.

 

I hate people, they're evil. My 8 and I are eloping and running away into the woods to escape society! We'll live off of berries and the land there! We'll have wonderful kids together, I'll call the first born Rena and the second born as Asis! Eventually, my 8 and I will have a nice cozy family and live off the land for generations to come!

3 days after I got my RX-8. I parked it in my friend's place and went out with him in his car at around 12.00 PM in the night. When I came back, my RX-8 was missing! My fingers magically dialled 911 and the cop suggested that it might have been towed by the people who maintain the property bcos of lack of permit. The thoughts of how they would have towed away my RWD car just bothered me. I just got it back thats all, didnt even want to think about it.

Yesterday the car was towed from my own appartment complex!! F$&^%* apparently bcos the parking permit had to be renewed! It had been 4 days since they started issuing new ones!!

Towing people are potential car vandalisers...keep a watchout for them. They have managed to cause some damage to the bottom part of my bumper.

I lived in NY before. It was so much better there with parking tickets.... they were less expensive too...

 

Honestly, I fear it everyday, why if the car can be, It's parked in the garage. Had the car for a week & someone took a knife all the way across the hood.. Left I nice deep scratch. It was painful to find. Happened mid-day too on the only day it was garaged.

 

first day i got mine some chick back into the front of my car i fear damage more than i do getting jacked maybe if i drove a honda like i use to but good luck getting this one out the garage .... there would be a amber alert out with me leading the pack lol

i almost went off on this dude today for leaning up on my car.

 

I always fear going to any grocey store or department parking lot, I try to park the farest away from anybody else, but Some idiot always seems to park right next to me, when there are empty spaces everywhere! GRRRRrrrrr1

Hahah so true. Park a 5 minute walk from the front door where theres 50 free spots around you.. they're right next to ya.

 

I fear of being stab by crazy fuxks more than someone stealing my car.
