Do you fit well in your RX-8?

Do you fit well in your RX-8?
I'm just curious how well people fit in their RX-8. I'm a tall person (6'4") and have a tough time fitting into anything - clothes, airplanes, cars, you name it.
The RX-8 is a little tight for me but not any more tight than my BMW Z4 I used to own - in fact I feel that I fit better in the RX-8 than the Z4. Anyhow, I love to drive my RX-8 and stay pretty comfortable after long drives and I don't feel that my height negatively affects my ability to drive the car well.
So this post is not a complaint from me but more of a curiosity about how tall people feel they fit into their RX-8.
So, how well do you feel you fit in your RX-8?
How does the 8 (as far as how well you fit) compare to other sport cars you own or have owned?
Oh, and thanks for reading/replying to my crazy-*** question!

I'm 6' 7" and I fit just fine, but the seat has to be reclined "gansta" style and I don't have a sunroof. I rode in a friends 8 with the sunroof and my head stuck through the sunroof! So I had to recline the seat wayyyy back.
I wish the seats were "stronger" tho. I carry a good amount of weight (pretty spead out tho) but in twisty mountain runs the side bolsters of the seat will flex.
Other than that, I love the driving ergos of the car. Fits me fine.
EDIT: just realized you live in Glenny??! You should look up AZMC (Arizona Mazda Club at www.azmazdaclub.com) and come to some of our meets. We're going to a drift event/car show in Tuscon this Saturday

I fit pretty well and I am 6'2"' and have the sun roof. Another 1-2" of head room would be nice though.
I am really curios to know how going from a Z4 to a RX8 was. Z4s seem like pretty nice cars. How does handling compare? What about pickup? I know the Z4 is faster I just mean how it feels not it's actual performance figures.

I'm 6'1" and I fit perfectly in the car. I did have to search out a sport model when shopping for it though, as when test driving a car with a sunroof my hair just brushed the roof, so probably less than an inch with the seat in the optimal position.

I'm about 5'9" and i fit perfectly. it feels like the seat was molded from my body. i love it. i've driven the new 335i TT. and i love the fit of my 8 much better, it's a much more...firm..fit, i drove the BMW around a track and felt like i was flying around in it, my 8 feels like i'm part of the car. Although BMW's are known as "Drivers cars" I like the feel of the 8 much more.

I'm 6'2 and I fit fine. Have to have the seat all the way down, but that's no big deal. Only thing I really wish for is a telescoping wheel. My 6 has that, and man, it makes a HUGE difference when you have grasshopper legs.

You'll find some more responses in this older thread: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...w+tall+are+you
Actually, if you're around 5' 10" or over, it's not so much 'height' that determines how well you fit—it's inseam! Two people of the same height can fit very differently, depending on how their height is 'divided up':
Long legs, short upper body = good.
Short legs, long upper body = not so good.
(Of course, if you're 6'7", it prob doesn't matter how you're divided up. )

I'm 6'6" and I fit nicely. Sat in the car for 11 hours once and no problems. JUst have to recline the seat and put it all the way down. Comfy cozy. Now from what I heard a sunroof is a different story for tall people.

6'3 with GT and sunroof package.. I have to run the seats 'gangsta style' as someone else mentioned above and I still have barely any clearance. I'm used to it though and the seats fit me well.
It was the potential dealbreaker when I was looking at the 8, had to do a few test drives to figure out a way to sit in the damn thing. Now I'm happy though!

I imagine most posts will be positive, afterall, if you didn't like the fit in the car, you wouldn't have bought it
I'm used to having some head room, so it felt a bit weird to have the roof a half inch over my head, but I got used to it. Half an inch, or 3 feet away, it doesn't matter as long as I don't have to tilt my head to fit
And forget it, if I tried to have the seat straight up. It must be reclined to work.

I also have to recline a bit. Being about 6'4.. The only thing that bugs me is do to this, I have a pretty big blind spot behind the rear-view mirror when looking forward. Sometimes I think you could hide a full car behind it.. ha.. Ok, exaggerating, but all the same.. Still a bit annoying.
