I'm 6' and, with my sunroof, I have to be very careful about my seat placement in order to be comfortable, not too far away, but not have my head hitting the sunroof trim, either. Passsengers have it much easier because they can just recline way back - a good friend of mine is a big 6'3" or so, and he just racks the seat all the way back and he's good.

I'm 6 foot 3 inches, 185 punds and I fit perfectly. I have slightly longer legs than body. I have a base 8, and don't "recline" the seats. I have about an 1 or 2 of clearance room.

Not too many people can sit behind me, though I have crammed 4 people in my 8 a few times. I've even sat in the back once, and I fit okay.

I guess I'm tall for a girl, 5'9", but I love the way my seat gives me a "hug like" security (damn that sounds girly). I sit pretty far back, but not gangsta style, on account of the long legs.

I am 5'10" and the fit is perfect for me, especially after owning a 06 MX5. It would be cramped if someone had to sit behind me.

The seat needs to be smaller. Less width. The side bolsters do nothing for me

6'1" - skinny as a rail

Only 5'8" and I'm about an inch away from hitting my head. Now idea how you 6+ footers do it unless you have long arms and can recline the seat alot.

6' 1" and more than enough room. I like the seat reclined a bit, yet notch it up when our kids are in back, and still very comfortable. Of note, just got back from a four-day getaway with wife and both daughters and the car worked out great. First big driving trip in the 8 with all four of us as we typically would use wife's Honda Pilot for such a trip. Packed as if we were flying with carry-on luggage only and had more than enough room for everything. The auxilliary power outlet kept their GameBoys and DVD player humming along nicely. This car continues to amaze me.

6'6 WITH sunroof and I fit.
Could I be more comfortable in another car? CERTAINLY but once I got used to having my seat reclined "gangsta" style everything's been good.
The only complaint I have is from time to time when I check my blind spot on the left side, my hair rubs on the part of the ceiling that dips down a bit.

Compared to the my old accord, it fits like a glove,

i'm short though 5'6, and have to have the seat pretty far forward, making the steering wheel a bit close. It's fine if I remind myself to sit back into the seat, but normally I'm leaning forward. Perhaps my 8 will break me of this habit.

I agree, for those of us who are skinny, narrower would be better. (Although here in the Northeast, the wider seats do allow you to sit comfortably in winter wearing a thick down jacket. But I'd still rather have narrower.)

I'm 6'4, and narrow and I fit well. Since my legs are long I wish the seat went back just a couple inches more, but I love driving my 8.

I am really curios to know how going from a Z4 to a RX8 was. Z4s seem like pretty nice cars. How does handling compare? What about pickup? I know the Z4 is faster I just mean how it feels not it's actual performance figures.
The Z4 had a little more torque all around but handled about the same as the 8 (which is great handling). For the money, the RX-8 is fantastic. The Z4 is nice but not $20K nicer if you know what I mean.

I'll see if I can make it. That would be a cool event to see! Do you have the details?

the only reason why its more expensive is the fact that it has BMW on the car. *'s handling is superb

I didn't realize that the sunroof option made a 2" difference until *after* I bought one - oh well. It does make it a little tighter but for me I would rather have the sunroof than more headroom.

6'2" with sunroof. I wish there was a telescoping wheel because with my feet just right on the pedals my arms have to reach a bit for the wheel.

I used to have hair on headliner problems but a few adjustments fixed that (the power seat is useful in that regard).

I've even been able to drive around town with a 6' passenger behind me, but it wasn't very comfy for either of us.

I'm a little too slim for the bolsters to be very effective.
