It's always fun for me.

But I have lost the flair for cruising....

I remember when I used to love to just drive the streets of my city to relax. Would put 100 miles on in a night.

Now, not so much anymore.

 

I STILL do the 'look back' as I'm walking away from my car.

 

i feel the exact same way, except i have only had mine since september. i just wish there were some curvy roads on my way to and from work. its all just hiway.

but sometimes i just look at my car, and i still get the feeling that i cant believe it is 100% my car

 

I do the same thing.

My friends always laugh and say "dont worry, it is still there"

They just dont understand.

but i do that now to make sure no one else park their cars too close to mine, or that people aren't slamming their doors into my car lol

I get kinda embarrased when it's dirty ... I am so busy that I only get to wash it every weekend, sometimes during the week.

As for power, there's just no real need (at least for me) for more. I wouldn't MIND having more, but why? What are we gonna do with more? Already in canada, if you go 50 km over the speed limit you're in big trouble. With reasonable mods (exhaust, springs, cool rims), the 8 is everything I could ask for and more. Every single driving experience is unreal. It handles so beautifully, exhaust sounds great (GReddy), and it has plenty of power in high revs. I wish I could find more opportunities to use the available power, can't barely do that around here.

So ya', still excited and expect to keep the excitement for years to come.

 

I would pay good money to see that.

3+ years and I still love driving it every day. I just wish I could now - it's in getting a new engine. Sounds like another week in this Ford 500

Had it for little over two years now...............and get to drive it everyday!
Thihs may sound stupid, but the I can't wait to go to work every morning just because I have to get in the car and go. I find myself getting amped up in the morning as the drive approaches and look forward to it. I've never had that before on any car/truck.
Honestly.........sometimes I just don't make it to work and go for a little drive and end up back home later in the day. More times than you'd think!

 

i also get very excited to put mods on the car. i cant wait to put on my coilovers in the spring

 

I'm tired of modding my car, it's going back to Stock.

1 year and 4 months later. I still look forward to getting into the RX-8 and when i'm haulin tail to redline, my heart races a little bit. So it hasn't worn off for me, in fact, i probably gotten to know its abilities and character better over this time. So i make the best of what i have and each situation that presents itself. Fun car still. Styling doesn't get old either. People stare as tho its some type of exotic.
