Do you wave to other RX8 drivers?

My dad owns a Chevy Corvette, and it seems like every corvette owner in the world just knows to wave at every other corvette owner.

When I'm driving the 8, I always wave at other 8 drivers, although I can go a week or so without seeing one (they are extremely rare up here in Connecticut). Sometimes I get a wave as well, sometimes I don't.

What do you guys do? Do you wave, or just ignore other RX8's on the road?

I agree in some circumstances....

The only time I didn't get a wave or a stare is when the person was really old or a woman. Typically, if it's a guy in his 20's or 30's, they always smile or give a wave.

I'm more apt to "flick" the lights.
I am so proud of my RX-8 I sometimes feel as if other drivers are envious. Could be all in my head though.

Always, I also flash my lights if they are comming the oposite way.
I also wave at other rotaries (all 3 gen RX-7's and the occasional rx-2/3 etc but they seem not to get it/care)

I always flick my lights but almost no one does it back... Maybe they will once I slap on my Mazdaspeed Sides and Rear in a few days. But I don't see hardly any rx7s other than my buddys 1990. Rarely if ever come across an FD. Have seen two in my 7 years of living in this town. Both in the same year too.

I usually honk my horn and then wave. Some people wave some look at me like i'm crazy some people don't notice. I'll keep doing it though.

I want to wave, but in the three months I've had mine I've seen less than a dozen on the road. Most of the time it was in situations where neither of us could really wave at the other - and the other probably didn't even see me.

I did have one wave. Commuting home from work in heavy traffic, I made way for a gal in an 8 entering the highway to slide in front of me. There was a quick "Thank you, you're welcome" set of waves, then a bigger "Fellow 8 owner" exchange.

I definitely want to wave when I'm in an eye-contact situation. That was one of the cool things about driving a sports car back in the 60s - we all waved at each other. Just need more 8s!

I'll give a quick wave out the window or nod. Well, unless its a women, there's a vr auto thats owend by a mom in my town and I'm kind of embarassed to be seen in my car near hers haha. Won't be once I get my kit on

In the canyons I'll see miatas all the time and they usually wave - get tons of thumbs up around there too from random cars.

it's about 50/50 here in Cincy, I'll get/give the head nod, wave out the window even though it's only 40 degrees out (lol)

The 2 FD's i've seenin person, the one was heading opposite direction on the interstate (no chance for an exchange) and the other was part of the indyrx8club as well

I've got a pic of his Red FD. Still a fukin sexy car for being nearly 15 years old (wow, 1993 still turns heads and drops jaws)

I'd love to get my hands on an FD, but i'd still keep my 8 either way

It's pointless down here. The 8 drivers around here are ********. Actually, all South Florida drivers are ******** in general, but I have yet to encounter a single owner down here in 3 years who has even attempted to show any type of awareness when I drive by them. I thought it was due to my unfriendly appearance but that's not it at all.

I have had plenty of exchanges and even a couple conversations IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY HIGHWAYS with drivers in FDs. Those guys are just friendly and classy. Can't say the same about members of my breed though. Sad but true.

This is what other 8 owners get from me down here:
