Does Anyone Get An Annoying Squeaking Sound Dometimes When You Press On The Breaks
:mad
this is so annoying why are my breaks making these sounds? It only has about 1900 miles on my car and this **** is not supposed to happen?
Does any of you guys have this problem or is it just me?

Yes, mine developed a brake squeal at about 2500 miles. I really only notice it during low speed braking like when I'm pulling into my garage. I don't think you'll have much luck trying to make a warranty claim on this issue, because brake squeal can occur under a wide range of conditions and it is sometimes difficult to pinpoint the problem. It may just be bad luck that your rotors have worn in such a way that brake squeal results. There's probably a good chance that the squeal will disappear as the rotors wear some more... at least that's what I'm hoping.

On occasion, yeah. I've taken it to be not threatening in any way...some road crap on the rotors or something. I think only 3 times it happened. The next time or two of hitting the brakes, it's quiet again. Never loud & only on a real gentle slow-down.

Mine just got checked & they're 50% + (probably more like 95%, the report doesn't say anything more than "green", being 50% or more), but thanks for that info. I didn't know. Another "Little Thing"?

I am at 3K and a faint squeal has started intermittenly at low speed. It is faint, but it is there.. My 993 really is bad about this problem so I am familiar w/ the problems it can be. For now.. I am just turning my CD volume higher and keep enjoying my 8l:D
