Mine also does that, but stops when the temperatures are warmer and the car is warmed up. It's just the materials getting hard/less flexible or whatever that causes it.

 

Your header and post conflict eath other. We don't know what you are talking about as you switch subjects.

If you have shake and rattle and it's worse now....... then sound like motor mount.

If you you are talking about rattles or sqeeks only when it's cold that's different.

I haven't driven my car for over two weeks and yesterday the dash was making noise like crazy. It was cold. 50 degrees. Went away after awhile. I just attributed it to taking off the sound barrier (the black plastic piece on top of the impact bar under bumper).

Never had noises before when cold.

Temperatures below 30 at night but no rattles warm or cold. Had a rattle earlier, but it turned out to be an acorn that a rodent had carried into the air conditioner fan area - once that was removed no problems rattle stopped and no problems since

 

My seats shake at idle, need to get the motor mounts replaced. I also have rattles in both front doors, either the speakers are loose or there is something that is rattling in both. The rattles in the doors are worse with the radio on, but they both rattle over rough pavement.

The worst is swaybars with urethane bushings... I need to regrease them. Everytime I take a corner is sounds like i have cats (the kind that meow... not the kind that convert some raw exhuast gases to heat) stapled to my wheels.

 

squeeks usually are amplified when it's cold. If there are any in a car, it tends to show 10-fold.
