G.Mac, a couple of months ago I found my car would pull to the left. When I brought it in to the dealer they also said everything was OK. I then pushed a little with the dealer to check the direction and the brakes...

Finally, a couple of hours later, they called me back to say that my front bracks were filled with little bumps and so changing them could ajust my direction (no charge of course).

They finally changed my front disks and machined my pads. Since then my car has been perfect.

Oh I was gonna forget, someone I know and a friend had RX-8's and they also had to change their front disks... thought you should know...

Maybe. I was about your age when I had a brand-new car repaired after an accident, and it pulled strongly to the left. Well, it hadn't done that BEFORE the accident, so obvious there was a problem. Dealer blew smoke up my ***, claiming it was "torque steer because it's front-wheel drive" and "normal". Of course, they weren't going to get any extra money for finishing the job right.... Basically, if they don't feel like spending time on it they will use just about anything as an excuse as to why your car is "normal". In my case, I ended up finding the problem myself -- they'd replaced a wheel and the new tire was a 75 profile vs. 70 for the original. Service ******** still didn't want to talk to me; I had to go lay the wheel on the owner's desk. There's practically no problem you can name, short of being on fire, that some mechanic won't try saying "Oh, that's NORMAL".
