step 1: buy a civic
step 2: get a lobotomy
or was it step 2, then step 1...?![Aroused](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/aroused.gif)
ABOUT TORQUE:
What I ment to say was, that contrary to what I expected from a 3.5l V6, I *felt* that the 350z was not responsive enough on the low end. I am *NOT* expecting the 8 to be torquei at all - FFS it's a tiny wankel.
Yes, I have my mind very set on getting one, I think that's quite obvious. I know that Mazdas are very reliable, as well as Japanese in general. I have thought about a Miata, S2000 or MR2 but in the end decided a convertible is just not for me. It's a fun toy for the weekends but I need a daily driver for getting around the city, plenty of stop and go action in general once a week. If the flooding should not be a problem with a refreshed firmware and larger battery then all is well.
MSENZO:
When checking out a used car should I try flooding the engine like you specified and just leave it there if it happens? If the dealer/seller refuses to let me try to flood it should I just turn around and go?

It's a Cavalier
Why, come to think of it, if I were a private seller, I'd kick your *** if you came to my house, jumped in my car and flooded it deliberately.
You can verify it has an updated flash in other ways.

"Warming up the car" is always a good excuse to take it for a drive. There is also a procedure for shutting down the car while it isn't warmed up. I believe it is something to the effect of keeping it at 3000rpm for 10 seconds then shut it down.

Yes, and unlike the lot of you, I've never driven an 8, because THERE AREN'T ANY IN MY COUNTRY.![Scratchhead](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/scratchhead.gif)
I know nothing about specifically testing it before getting one. Not to mention first travelling halfway around europe to find a target.
Please give detailed instructions about this, ok? It means **** all to you and very much to me.

step 1. open eyes
step 2. look to make sure no parts missing ,engine starts, the vehicle moves, etc etc
step 3. Check the vin number through Mazda for service bulletins
step 4. blink to lubricate eyes
