Donuts with the 8
#26
Wait! Our cars have enough torque to pull of a successful 'donut'???
I know I'll be doing it in a few parking lots when the snow falls here. I've had a FWD car for about 5 years and miss spinning my big old 94 cougar around a large, empty parking lot. I bet it's a BLAST in the 8.

So, snow has been falling around my place in canada, and I'm starting to see some empty parking lots ripe for doing some donuts.
I've always had a FWD in the past, and the technique was simple. Drive in reverse up to a certain speed and crank the wheel, then, WEEEEE!
But I was hoping someone could share some sweet RWD donut techniques with me .
Is there more to it then just hitting the gas and turning left at about 15-20 km/h's? I was doing this and ended up mostly just sliding to the right or sliding to the left.
(Yes, DSC was off (not disabled, but off) before anyone asks)

it's really easy in rwd cars to do donuts in the snow, no more going in reverse (which is just like a rwd car going forward btw) lol
just go around 20 or so mph and crank the wheels, rip the e-brake and go weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
other method is just holding the brake and getting to 5k rpms, let it go dropit in first and then go wee as you give it gas, rwd cars are easier to do donuts than fwd cars (without going in reverse)
oh and turn off dsc if you have it

brings back fond memories of my first RWD. Man...that first winter was an eye opener...
donuts shouldn't require much instruction. Stop, off TSC, crank wheel, mash gas. spin. repeat as desired.
