Driver Seat Squeeks

Does anyone have problems with the driver seat squeeking and creeking in the lower back area? I have a GT RX8 MT with leather driver seat and lumbar support and have noticed a very annonying creeking in the lower back area. Any pressure at all makes the seat sound like it needs a major lube job.

I have set up a service appointment to see if the dealership can fix it... not sure if this is a warrenty issue. I only have 22000 miles on my 2004 model... and I baby it.... The interior still smells new... I hate to think what the seat will sound like in another year if it can't be fixed.

I think quite a few people have this issue, I know I do. Not sure what the real fix for it is though, hopefully someone that does will post.

Ya mine did that. Sounded like a total POS. I took it to one dealer who jerked me off and didnt to **** about it. Took it to another and they fixed it. Said it took them like 2 hours but it is good now, all under warranty.

All I did was polished the leather real well and lube everywhere so they don't make any noise when they rub. Even the leather boot under shift **** is making noises in addition to the doors, etc.

How did they fix it? Do you know? Mine still does it from time to time. Not only does it squeek, I could actually feel the seat move a notch.

I found a easy fix to the squeeky seat. I made some rubber washes up out of about 3mm thick hard rubber and placed these between the seat mounts and the floor pan. No squeek now for a week or so now yay!!!
