Driver's Seat Popping...

I've had my 8 for almost 2 months now and I just noticed a "shift popping" sound in my drivers seat. I originally though it was coming from under the dash. It only happened when I would get in the car and also during turns. No!, I'm not over weight, 170 5'7".
Anyway, I took it to the dealship and they swapped it out with a new one from another 8 on the lot.
Just courious if I'm going to have this problem again or if anyone else has had it.

Yes, my seat does this. If I distribute my weight a certain way against the seat back, it seems to pop in, then pop back out if I lean forward a bit. I'm also a relatively skinny person (5'11", 165 lbs). It's a bit annoying, but I'm not too concerned about it.

little different

Mine is more in the bottom mechanics. It's an adjusting popping sound. Almost a squeek. It made about 7-10 small pops when pressure is applied side to side. But fixed so I'm happy now.

I've had passengers, the bigger ones, comment on it "popping" on that side when they get out. My Seat has never done it though.

thanks -- obviously I dont spend much time on here (too busy) - did search under seat popping

mine is more of something in the seatback that pops when I press on it with my back -- sounds like the tightening thing wont help me....totally expect a "could not duplicate" at the dealer although they're all heavier than I.

it actually "feels" like the lumbar thing inside the seat that you can blow up -- you "feel" it more than hear it -- any ideas?

I just had my cloth seats replaced with leather a couple of weeks ago. Today as I was pushing my back deep into the seat (trying to put something in my front pants pocket) I noticed a popping sound. I thought maybe I had broken something on the seat but could not find any problem.
