You are welcome chr1s....

As to report back on installing the thing... my dad and I put the rear on ramps and jacked up the front only to figure out an hour later it was next to impossible for us to get the 3 bolts on the front part of the CAT undone... everything else we got off just fine. The damn bolts were on the SO good to the point of cracking one of the wrenches we had. After a bunch of tries I just said **** it and took it to Meinike (spelling?) and 40 bucks and 20 minutes later I had my cat installed.

When I first fired up my car I could tell instantly there was a change, and OH does it sound sweet. Much deeper and "throatier". It makes me grin every time I start my car up. I have two videos a before and after shot in the same position for those of you who want to hear (good quality too) i just need to encode them and host them on my server. Hopefully I'll have those up later today.

Soak the bolts in PB blaster the night before and use a breaker bar to remove those nuts. I did that and they came off very easily.

not bad at all....but one thing though, LOOK at the flat as surfboard torque output!! I sort of felt that the 8 stops pulling around 4000rpm...now i know why. I do assume that this would be caused by the restrictive exhaust and intake though..and nice aftermarket ones would help it pull all the way through till redline!! i know my old 12a n/a's did!! does anyone have a dyno sheet of a modded renesis with exhaust and intake to compare? ooops i just thought of using the search button...

Hmmm -- stops pulling? Right around 4000 is when mine really starts to wake up and start flying, the flat as a board torqe output is just a design of the rotary anyways... granted our cars are not THE torque'iest engines out there but we have the given amount throughout the WHOLE rev range which is something of a good thing I think

yeah....i should have maybe said doesn't pull any harder above the 4000rpm mark..it goes well but i wish i could feel the G's get stronger all the way to the beep. your right though toxin440, the torque is there right from the start which is great for normal driving and pulls instantly when you floor it. i did actually find a great thread with a dyno sheet of an 8 with a racing beat muffler and intake. max power 201bhp. up 16bhp from stock.....if i remeber correctly. good stuff but he also said it cost $400+1mpg/1hp!!!! ill check again for torque increase

Thats why I don't think I will be getting a Racing Beat Revi intake... the price/performance is just too much to justify. Why pay 400 dollars for 1mpg/1HP when I already have the sound and performance gains I set out to get. Instead of getting an intake I'd just keep the stock and put the money towards a turbo fund in 6 months. :-p

That's cool - I wish I had a hand held flash tuner also.

My small tune on the CZ is for only 70% to WOT above 6400 RPM. You can see the last two dynoes where I leaned it out just barely.
