I have 07 MT GT with 5,200 miles on it. I recently went on an out of town road trip (only ~200 miles each way). When I got back into town I noticed that my engine shook like crazy at about 2,000 rpms. It kind of feels like an engine that is about to stall, except the shake is faster. The shake starts around 1800 rpms and stops as i get closer to 2,500 rpms but starts up again at around 4,000 rpms (not near as bad as the 2000 rpm shake).

I have been keeping up with checking the oil every 2-3 fillups and I had put 1 quart of oil before I headed back in town. My original instinct was that it was a bad tank of gas, but it continued after another fillup at another gas station and I ALWAYS use 93 octane.

Just wanted to get some ideas before I take it to Mazda. Car is only about 2 months old and I could not find any TSB's for 2007 rx-8's. Any thoughts?

I had suspected that as well. Wasnt too sure that after 5000 miles the mounts would be a problem. Guess ill be making a trip to mazda.

 

Bring it in before something catastrophic happens. I hope it ends up being minor for your sake. Good luck.
