Please get your manual in the glove box out and read the section on BREAK-IN. It tells you everything you need to know about it. You will be glad you did because you will learn all kinds of things about the Rotary and the 8! It is an oil injected engine and will burn the oil fast or slow depending on how you drive it. This is just one of many things that you need to know, but it's the most important one. More than one person has come on here and burned up the engine because they never looked at the book or the salesman never told them. You treat it nice, and you will get a long life out of this car. My mileage has improved 4mpg after 12k on mine. This is my 7th Rotary, and they have come along way since 71'. My first one had 100hp and got 21mpg at best. I have got over 27mpg on this one on three occations and more than twice the hp! After you break it in you will enjoy this high reving smooth car. You will fall in love with it.....
