Engine Fan

Hi guys, encountered something funny(at least to me) today. After some hard driving, i realised that the engine fan continued to run even after i switched off the engine. Stood outside for a gd min or so but the fan juz kept on running. It stopped only when i inserted the key again and turn to start but w/o starting the car.

Does any of you fellows 8ers experience this problem? Or mayb it's not a problem at all? Thks!!

Most cars today have an automatic cooling fan on the radiator that will kick on even if the car is turned off when the coolant requires cooling. Sometimes it will take a minute or two after the car is shut down to kick on but it isn't a problem. It's a good thing as long as it is relatively warm when it is happening. If it does it when it -30f outside then you might be concerned.

It's normal, it's thermostatic, and it's been discussed before. The search engine is your friend.

Just had this problem today for the 1st time...mods are listed in sig and I thought it might have had something to do with the REintake. Only because I recently had the black nipple on the car plugged when it should have been exposed so the car was dying at idle at high speeds...Is everyone sure that nothing is wrong? ..Thanx

Nevermind, I read even more threads..later
