Engine Light / Clutch

I replace my OEM clutch with a STAGE 2 SPEC clutch (Kevlar) @ 29000 miles at a Mazda Dealership in April of this year 2006. About 200 miles later, after I received the car back, I took it up to 115 miles an hour. The engine light came on in 5th to 6th gear. I DO NOT redline or pop the clutch ever. I explained to them that this doesn't seem right esp. after they replaced the clutch. I believed maybe there might be something wrong with either the clutch installation or maybe the compatability of the clutch. They assured me neither was the culprit, but I still think it was/is.

Last night my car stalled and would not go into 1st 2nd 3rd anywhere unless I turned off the car, depressed the clutch, slipped the gear shift into 1st and then it would still conk out. Mazda dealership is saying my clutch blew up after 6000 miles. Something is not right. I purchased the SPEC Stage 2 clutch from www.horsepowerfreaks.com

We are all trying to figure out whom to blame. What to do. Why would this occur? Is there such a thing as installing the clutch incorrectly, but it still operates? Could it have been a defective clutch??? Help, because I don't think I should incur another $1200.

theres no way a *clutch* would *blow up* after 6000 miles, UNLESS it has been seriously abused. (ahh maybe its a manufacture defect, but its hard to prove this one)

Its kinda hard to tell .... but why Spec Stage 2 clutch?

I dont think theres anyone to blame on, but yourself.

Maybe its time to shop for another brand of clutch ?

why 1200 ? you can get a really decent one for a few hundred plus maybe 300 bucks labor.
