Hey i just got back from the dealership. I wanted to test drive the car but the battery was dead. The guy jumped started the car but and we were discussing the features that came with it (GT). When i sat in it for him to show me the stereo i noticed that the engine was revving its self from 0-2 over and over again. I could not control the engine. i tried pumping the gas and break but it would not stop revving. The guy turned it off and said it just needed a new battery and it would be fine. Has anyone every seen or experinced something like this? thanks for the help

 

i forgot to mention that the check engine light was on while the engine was revving itself

 

That is something that a bad battery could do. We have a throttle by wire gas pedal.

 

I'm pretty new here so I have not experienced that. Don't want to either.

 

Doesn't sound like a car I would drive off the lot. Might want to find another one.
