Engine Stall 04 RX-8

Engine Stall 04 RX-8
I have just purchased a used 2004 Mazda RX-8 with 88,000 miles.
I am having an issue where, while driving the car the check engine light and the TCS/DSC Indicator light will come on. When it does the the car will stall - mind you this is while driving down the freeway doing 60+.
So, I drove it to my nearest Mazda dealer to have checked.
Throttle Control valve and gasket needs to be replaced. ($436 just for the parts)
I would like to purchase an extended warranty for this car, but Mazda will only do so up to 100,000 miles. Is there an option out there that anyone might know of where I can get something for a lot longer?
Thanks,
John

Not a big fan of aftermarket warranties.
Instead of dropping $2,000 on a warranty where you are at least guaranteed to have to fight for coverage in the event of a failure.....
Why not take $1,000, start a savings account (or term deposit, etc.). Every month, throw in another $20 or $50.
If something breaks, you have the $ to pay for it. If nothing breaks, then over the years, you have a nice, tidy, downpayment on a new car. (Or an engagement ring and perpetual poverty, if you must).

I purchased and extended warranty for my car and it saved my *** the first time when my alternator screwed up an overcharged, ruining my ABS control module (over 2k) drivers side window switch, and battery. The second time it covered the replacement of my ignition coils which was cool because I did not think they would cover and item that to me is considered to be normal wear and tear.
Each time I paid a $100.00 deductible but that warranty was a smart choice and to be honest the service guy at the dealer did not have any problems getting either items covered. I know a tech came from the warranty company to check out the alternator issue before covering but the warranty paid for a rental too so I didn't really care.
