Since then, i've gotten it cleaned up and I don't think there are any other tells of the incident left, unless extreamely minute. After about a week of maintenece and double-check cleaning, the sunroof now closes and opens without any other sounds. I have found a few conspicious chips here and there on the car, but I don't think their from that incident. hmm.

O I got another one. Doing a project in my car for school on the last week. Theres a girl in the passenger side of the car parked next to me, and lemme tell you this girl hates me. So im doing my report and I hear a "thud" and she smiles at me and waves saying I threw a sandwich at your car! Are you ******* kidding me? Suddenly im distracted by some girl screaming at another girl, she comes running across the parking lot into the car parked next to me (yes the same car with sandwich girl). Shes so pissed off that she slams the rear door into my cars rear fender!!!! Im looking down working and I hear a smash I look up and out the window back towards the sound. The girl at first drops her jaw and covers her mouth, then she proceeds to laugh!!! Un ******* believable!!! waves at me and takes off in the car! I didn't even have anytime to react to that bitch, and now I have a dent in my rear fender and the paint is chipped.

Believe in the karma. If you believe in the science of physics, you believe in karma. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Such is the definition of karma, and one of Newton's laws I think (i'm a mechanical eng. major, i should know this ).
Anyhow, just remember that jealously/envy is the sincerest form of flattery.

Three words for you: cell phone camera
I've taken pictures of cars and trucks (and additional close-ups of license plate and registration sticker) just because I didn't like the way they had parked next to me. Any actual damage to my car would net about 6 to 10 pictures taken in quick succession showing the position of the cars, damage, plates, and driver.
Cell phone photos probably wouldn't hold much weight it court, but it makes it a lot easier to get the true story told to the police when you make your complaint.

And all along I'd thought I was the only person that did this. Only when things seem really shady...but nonetheless, i've done it quite a few times myself.

Man, I was just joking about the "general disdain for neighbors" comment, but what the hell has the world done to you?! If your car gets dinged up, you don't have to sue anyone over it.

He was referring to my comment, saying that since I was in my car witnessing what was being done to it that I should have taken pictures. Yet I could not react I just thought I was having a nightmare or something. The ***** it takes to do **** like that when while I am in the car. It was practically impossible to believe what I was witnessing.

I think cool-dad's comment was more for comfort of at least having SOME kinda proof, rather it be iron-clad and courtroom material, or just a promissory note of knowing whose responsible for it. At least, that's the way I personally look at it. Just a comfort thing.

The idea never occurred to me until the very first time I parked the car at a large customer site the first week I owned it. A pick-up truck backed up to within less than two inches. I couldn't get two fingers between my rear bumper and his trailer hitch. Of all the stinkin' nerve. I couldn't be certain he hadn't bounced off me when he backed in because he was too close for me to completely check for damage without moving my car. Well, if he *had* hit it I couldn't very well put my car back (possibly hitting his in the doing so) and *then* take pictures, could I? Nope, cell phone pictures are cheap - free even, they take less time that writing down a plate on a paper I'll later lose and I never have to worry that I won't be able to find that car again.
After that I discovered a particular location where no one understands that I might make a right turn into a particular parking lot immediately after my right turn though the intersection. I've nearly been rear-ended almost every time I go to the church. I'd still prefer they not hit my car, but it's a small, small comfort to know exactly what I'll do if they hit my car.
(asuming vehicles do not immediately need to be moved for safety)
1) take pictures of point of impact
2) take pictures of location to show position of vehicles
3) take a least one photo of driver
Saturn, I've had quite an interesting life, but so far I've never had to sue anyone. I've had one fellow hauled into court by the district attorney to account for his actions against a previous car of mine, but that's another story. Notice I didn't list "beat up the driver" above - it's not the sort of thing I'd do for little or no reason.
