sounds like a good upgrade to me :P
whenever i get a spare $1k im buyin the S2 taillights and puttin them on my 04, make the harness and everythin. don't know why it hasn't been done yet other than the lights are expensive. hopefully no one beats me to it now that i'm sayin somthing but if they do i'd buy the harness instantly

It has been done and you have to get the S2 bumper or you will have space issues.

Really? Thats lame. I admit to not researching it before sayin that and i was just goin off parkin mine next to an S2 at a dealership and eyeballing and thinking about since the S2 came out. Thats unfrotunate cause i honeslty dont like either bumper haha, but ive been thinkin of how to customize mine for a while also so i suppose workin off an S2 wouldnt be any different :P do you know if anyone is selling a harness for the conversion?

Another thing i have been thinking of for a while (and to kind of get this thread back on topic) is the S1 headlights. They look great (especially compared to the tail lights) and i think one of the best designed by almost any manufacturer, but the added 'drivers light' (the little bullet shape infront of the high beam) is completely pointless. If it came from mazda as a daytime running light where it was always on, then whatever, its justified. But the fact that its basically yellow and looks horrible with the xenon lights and is only on if you turn the parking lights on, is another completely pointless thing. I always drive with my parking lights on (because for one my tail lights are painted WAY to dark because im lazy and just wanted to hide the moisture, and because frankly i think most cars look better with some of the lights on, mine included). But, i went thru two sets of LED bulbs from rotaryfx.com (please dont buy lights from them) trying to make them match the xenons, that kept burning out after a month before i decided and realized they were pointless. Much like the fog lights (not bashin them i love the look and sometimes wish i still had them at times) but again i went thru two sets of yellow halogens, going for a le mans gt racing look ultimatley (again from rotaryfx.com and again blowing in a month each) before i gave up and just removed them because of my ultimate goal of shaving weight. Anyways i think mazda could have taken all that time and research into developing those 'drivers lights' and done something better.. like screens for our oil coolers (all the holes are there, so where are they?) It would have been cheaper, more practical and maybe lowered the price of the car even more. Thoughts? Am i retarded because i haven't looked at the options brouchure ina while and they were available? But i cant recall ever seeing one with them from the factory. My point is they could have been standard basically.

I kind of do the same thing, but I drive around the same area at work, so I park so I can see it when I'm driving around.
But yeah, I definitely just sit and admire it. It was my dream car after all!
