so today i found out my Rx-8...
is NOT a Shinka edition....
because its an 04 right???....so would it be considered a GT??
im confused....and the guy i bought it from told me it was....
help a guy out!!!......is it or is it not??.......im completely embarrased now...

 

04=no Shinka.
If it has leather and a sunroof, it's probably a GT though. Sorry.

Cant be a shinka cause first of all 04 didnt have shinka. And by your name im assuming your car is silver and they dont make shinkas in silver. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

 

If it's silver, you were duped.

 

But you weren't duped as much as you think. I have a Shinka. Aside from foam-filled suspension bits (a very minor enhancement), the differences were all cosmetic. Just an opportunity for Mazda dealers to jack up the price. No biggy.

I had an 04 GT and compared to the 06 Shinka I replaced it with, the 04 GT felt like an old pickup...

From Car and Driver...

Hopefully you didnt pay more for it. If there's any documentation that states it is a shinka, you have grounds for a lawsuit. Just FYI. If it was all verbal, then you have a silver Rx8 GT lol
