Problem solved.

Well if nothing happens in 20 days from the time the dispute started, it just closes, and thats it. My only option is to escalate it to claims with PayPal. Ill just wait another week, then escalate it to claims so PayPal can deal with it. And when i do that, PayPal will see that the seller is a jackass since he never put in the effort to respond.

And as far as his address is concerned, i dont have it since the only thing the jackass gave was a phone number which may even be BS considering he's never picked up. I have his full name from his PayPal account. Ill try digging out an address through internet sites later.

I hate dealing with phonies! He shouldnt even drive an 8 since jackasses dont deserve it!

Let me know how it goes.

I hope it was the FedEx that F'd up on their delivery, not the seller, and eventually deliver the exhaust in a good condition. Not only it sucks to be scammed, it ruins things for everyone who's looking for/selling things.

I'm even more furious now!

So the claim finally closed today, into my favor, but PayPal was only able to retrieve whatever the jackass had in his account, which was $1.82. WTF?!?!?

Unfortunately, the seller's account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover $1.82 USD. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time."

Has anyone else gotten this before? Do they actually follow up on it or am I really assed out?

sigh.. this is Paypal, at it's finest.

so now.. since he cleaned out the account you have to ask yourself, was he out to fraud or what?

at any rate, small claims court seems like your next step

If this was being investigated by a law enforcement agency, then by reading the last quote, I would say you're assed out. But I could be wrong. They may actually get you your money. I dont see how considering no funds are in that account and they cant freeze his money in another account. Good luck though. You may just want to file a suit with the info from Paypal. The judge can hold his taxes. That's easier
