Extended Warranties (Canada)

I just called up Mazda inquiring about an extended warranty and they stated that the car has to be less then 3 years and has less then 80,000km.

I wanted to get an RX8 that is under 3 years but already has 100,000km on the car.

I was wondering if anyone else that had high milage on their car was able to purchase an extended warranty? If so from where?

Also im located in Toronto, Canada...

You can't find any with mileage under 80K?

I could find some other RX8s with lower milage, but the reason why im so attracted to this one is because of the price (its like 20k) and it recently had a factory recall on its engine.

So its basically got a brand new engine in it, but the odometer reads 100k of course

Where did you get your extended warranty?

Was it from Mazda or a third party??

Actually does anyone have any opinons on either a factory replaced engine (pros/cons) or warranties in general?

This is going to be my first car purchase, and i really wanted to make sure that since the 8 has a rotary engine that its well covered at the very least with some sort of warranty. I dont need a bumpuer to bumper, as long as the engine itself is covered...

right from mazda. And if they just replaced the engine you should ask for a 100,000 or 160,000km warranty and be like whats the difference between this engine and one i'd get with a brand new car.

and if you're actually going to buy the car, tell them the only thing in the way of them getting your money is a nice mazda warranty
