Extremely Noobie Question, sorry

Is there anything different between the models for the different years? If so, what?

so rbkl...your 16 and looking for an 8.

You should really go to a Mazda dealer and check one out first hand.

Then use the search function for ideas, thoughts and opinions from others on the RX8.

When you get a fist full of cash and have a better idea of which colour and type you want...then go for it.

Are you set on buying an 8? Have you fully researched this car?

I have been comparing the 350z and some other cars, but in the end the RX8 is my favorite. =)

Are your parents buying it or are you planning on financing it?

there is minimal difference between all the year models

if the rx-8 is what you really want, make sure you do your research and know what you're getting into. Most of the members on this forum are sick and tired on answering people who keep asking how to get better gas mileage. Seriously, know what you are getting into and be prepared. I'm not saying the rx-8 is a bad car, I love mine, but don't complain if the gas mileage is sub-standard

I think it's a good question. If his parents are buying it for him then I would tell him to go for it. If he, as a 16 year old, wants to finance it himself, I would be a little worried. I am only 19 but three years ago I had no idea how fast money adds up when it comes to a car. I pay for everything that has to do with my car and I dont think I would have been able to afford an rx8 3 years ago

My first car when I was 16 years old got 9 mpg, yes 9 mpg. It was a '66 Dodge Charger with a 440 (that's 7.2 liters for you young folks). True, gas wasn't $3 a gallon but I didn't make as much as I do now so it all equals out.

yup torque is the same.

try 'build a vehicle' and select trim, it'll show automatic as 4-port rotary engine

How can a 16 year old afford an RX8? Probably 1 out of 100,000 can come up with the money if he/she really wanted one.

i'm also 16 and interested in getting an rx-8, thoroughly researched the possibilities in this price range, but this is my favorite

i have a pretty ok (for my age) part time job at a local Henry's, so i have a deal with my parents where i will pay 4-5 grand and then they will pay the rest

my lucky brother got an rsx-s without paying any of it

hoping to have the car around sometime in may (also my birthday)
