Fabulous Day in the RX8 World
Since owning a Tractor Business, I deal with alot of other Tractor Companies here in Maryland. Went by one in Upper Marlboro today in my RX8 instead of my Roll-Back Truck and to my surprise I was overwhelmed by the attention I received.
First of all, the owner and he son came out. Didn't even know what kind of Make of car it was. Ending up telling them everything about it including the magnificent Rotary Engine.:D They both were amazed with the design of the car, the Type of Engine and believe it or not, the Price of my car. They thought it was 50-60K. I just laughed and told them what the actual price was(although that wasn't the first time someone had guessed that price range). They then took turns sitting in it and looking at the Engine. Then another guy comes up and he's like I love that car. He said "I just bought an 05 Vette". His exact words after that were "I test drove the RX8 and my Vette could ofcourse beat it in the straight line due to the huge 6.0L 400HP Engine but your car could stay pretty close with me in the corners and I'm so surprised to see that such a small engine can perform so well". I was shocked as hell to hear that from a Vette Owner.
We all four of us spent about an hour just talking about my car. It was a great time and I did end up buying two used Tractors for the Business. :D
