fast errands- let car idle or restart?
Maybe this has been covered, but what is worse for the car, 3-5 minutes of idle or turning motor on and off for shorts stops, like a convience store, Blockbuster to complain that Kill Bill 1 is still out of stock, etc?
This is all of course after car has been fully warmed up and someone is sitting inside waiting.

Ditto, shut it off. Many studies have proven that even shutting the engine off while waiting at red lights saves fuel! (Of course, that's not recommended at all - but some hybrid systems or ultra-fuel efficiency systems do shut down the gas engine while the car is stationary). If you know you're parked for a minute, just turn it off.

Kill Bill is only $15 bucks at Target..
You should just go buy it. It's cheaper than renting..

Down herein Miami we dont have an option like that. If you leave a carrunning in a parking lot or onthe side of a store for 2 minutes or so theres a good chance it will not be there when you get back. Especiallyan Rx8.
