Its possible..he already laid down ~1000whp with the setup he had before on 25psi or something like that. PR has 13b's pushing 1100whp...and track built 20bs are probably around 1600whp so I'd say that 1200 is streetable...it would only take 25-30psi with the right setup and that is not insane on a rotary.

20b's hardly make more power...they put down more tq. not too much more hp.
as for a renesis making good power, ive yet to see anyone accualy port the motor and run alot of boost to try and see how much one could make.

Way too many people are obsessed with HP these days. I always say, Why didn't you consider that before you bought the current car you're in? Why didnt you buy a Z? Z owners why didnt you buy a Mustang? Mustang owners why didnt you buy a vette? Vette owners why didnt you buy a Viper? etc etc. Always going to be something faster out there and critics. If you buy a Veyron, someone will say well my CCX can do this.
90% of the people I've came across that own a sportscar, only care about what the HP number is. 99% of those people have never fully learned to drive the car they are in, to the full potential and actually used that HP.

One could argue the price gap narrows once you put parts in the 8, but again, the modding bug doesn't end if that's what you do.
Of course it also boils down to handling, overall exterior aesthetics (I won't drive a Mustang even if it's fast because I think they are ugly...) and so on.
But I do 100% agree the people who talk big hp numbers but have no clue how to drive their car. The Rx-8, in stock form, exceeds in driving capabilities 99% of the people that own it, even those that track their car. But does that mean you're not allowed to put parts on your car? No.
