Fed up with mazdas iPod cable
So after using it for a few years, the cable has served it's purpose. But my old iPod broke and the damn thing just doesn't cooperate with my iPhone.
Does anyone know of any easy mp3 (headphone jack) systems that I can install in my 04 rx8 that'll just play the audio from any device?

My iPhone 4 works OK with the OEM adapter, although I had to add this doohickey to allow charging:

The problem is that the iPhone sound output is lame compared to my old 2nd gen nano. Even cranking the volume does not help...it just sounds "flat". No adjustment on the phone helps, even the latest iOS update.

you can get `an fm adapter type thing lol ( do not know the name of it ) but you get it installed, pretty much its an aux input but uses fm frequency for it to work. I have that in my rx8 and its tuned to 88.3Mhz and it works fine
