finally able to buy an RX-8

I have wanted to buy an RX-8 since 2004 and have finally saved enough money to get one. I have been looking around and I finally went and test drove this RX-8 . I really liked it but I kind of want an MT instead of an AT. I really like all the added features of this one and the price seems to be great. What do you guys think I should do? Buy this RX-8 or purchase an MT and upgrade it to look like this one? TIA

The MT has significantly more power than the AT especially for the 2004 model. Many people have traded their AT's for MT's, and some has many problems with their AT. Unless you have a disability that necessitates an Automatic, I would highly recommending buying a Manual.

I would advise against buying a modded car. Buy a slightly used, unmodded 05 for less and then if you want to mod it, do it yourself, make it your own. And definitely go with the MT, the 05 only has the 4 speed AT.

MT all the way... you'll never know what your missing with two extra gears and a 2k higher redine. If you at all interested in this car for its zoom-zoom factor, do it all the way and get a manny. GL, and enjoy the new ride!

ok people are giving you advise but no one knows what you want it for. If your looking for a great looking car and don't care too much about performance, go for it.

If your looking for a sports car and think your getting a deal because of all the extras on this car, go find a manual.

So, you want a show car or a go car...your choice.

if your looking for a regular car go with the Auto
If your looking for a Sports Car that enhabits the ability to redline and the longer lasting engine.
