Finally Broke Down
And bought myself an 8! Thought you were going to see my car broke down eh?
I bought it in Escondido at Cush Mazda in California. I used the costco member discount witch set the price 500 over invoice. I didn't think that was too shabby.
I've been lurking for months and I finally feel like I actually belong here.

6 Speed, Nav, GT, Titanium with Black Interior.
Tried to keep it simple and lower in price
The other options that I want (spoiler, Mp3 player) I figure I'll pick up later.
Man, I couldn't sleep last night, it taunts you in the driveway.
"drive me.. you know you wanna"

Congrats on the 8, but you paid too much. "Invoice" is kind of like what "is", "is". There is manufactur invoice, dealer invoice and 3rd party invoice. Manufacator is the price the dealer pays Mazda, Dealer invoice is manufactuor plus dealer prep, ads, parking, admin fees, Etc. 3rd party fee (like COSTCO) is Manufactor invoice plus dealer invoice plus 3rd party fee. It looks good on paper, but it ain't. You still did get a good deal. Their are people in LA paying $2k - 3K over invoice. I paid 28.9k for my black 8 with the same stuff you got plus lo-jack and areo flares. I got mine from the Police & Fire Auto Program (http://www.policeandfireauto.com/) they deal direct with dealers, they don't have a preset price like COSTCO.
Again Congrats, hope to see you on the road

Thank you for the warm welcome guys =)
Doh! Sounds like you got a pretty good deal scubacap, too bad I didn't read about that before.
But I feel pretty good about my purchase, I didn't have any credit and they gave me a
lower monthly payment then my bank could have done. I got the monthly amount I was
looking for and I now have a giant rock of crack with 4 tires. My parents told me their
payment is about 10$ lower per month for financing a 26k car and their credit score is in the 700's

Yo Photic, welcome to the club. I got mine also at Cush exactly one year ago today. I think the sales rep was Barb, and her husband marv is some bigwig in the Mazda cult. Did you take their standard test drive route past the chicken coops, etc? You gonna luv ur new baby, so congrats on taking the plunge.
