Finally got an '8
So after being a member here since may of 02 since before the car came out, I've finally gotten one. I bought an 05 with 14,500 miles on it. It's Sunlight Silver, GT with appearance package in very good condition for about 21.6k. All the milage was put on it in about 6 months time then it was traded in. I assume the guy didn't fancy the gas milage. Anyway, I'm loving it and will post pics. It's everything I thought it would be. It's also my first car, and I'm paying for it in full, which should be fun. It's a weird feeling to be in massive debt for the first time in my life, though I think it will be worth it. I will post pics soon...
Out of curiosity though, I realized on the way home that it has a busted front tweeter...I posted this in the audio section, but does anyone know where besides the dealer that I can get a replacement? Thanks a lot. Wouldn't have bought this thing if I didn't come here everyday.

Congrats!....
Congrats on your SS!
If you have Bose, the "front" tweeter is in the front of the dash, against the windshield - do you need that or is it one of the window mids?
Either way, ask Paul at Mazdaparts, he has all that stuff.

it's on the driver side door on the frame of the car between the windshield and driver side window...i just assumed it was a tweeter because of the size. anyway, what is paul's username? thanks so much.

yeah, it's my first car so i didn't count on it being under warranty, but it's good to know. just weird that it keeps going back and forth between being fine and then sounding like the driver is ripped in two.
anyway, the reason i have waited for so long is that I was 17 then, and am 20 now, so money and maturity were the reasons. but i've paid for over half of it and will hopefully pay back my parents the rest over the next 3 years. here's to getting a high paying job with a history degree from a liberal arts school...anyway, this place has been a great resource. it's an epic looking car out back...thanks all.
