Finally got mine.... and now questions

Finally got my rx8.

It's 2004 manual, sport package, rotary accent, appearence package. 60 miles on odo.

So the question is: since the VIN ends in 130000-ish number and I don't trust the dealer. What should I check to see if all flashes/TSBs/etc?

Is there anything special/more to do during break-in period?

Thank you.

Sweet. Throw in the spare tire kit and you got my car! What color?

Zaino sells car wash, too.

Break in and TSB lists

From my favorate links

Break in info - Also Read the manual

http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm

TSB list

http://www.finishlineperformance.com/rx8/docs/

Grats on your new ride.

As far as you list of what TSBs have been done to your car I believe a log is created and maintained by Mazda on the cars, you would have to ask a dealer to run your Vin.

Yeah I know this is GREAT side, I've been reading it for 2-3 month before I've got my rx8.

Talking Just got mine, too!!!

:D
Silver 04 MT GT package.
I've coveted this car since I saw a Motor Trend "sneek peek" 2 years or so ago!
I thought I wanted the yellow, but the dealer had "gussied up" the thing with chrome wheels and a bunch of other dumb add-ons.
I saw mine sitting off the the side on a back row and looked in. (the Sunroof was a big deal to me)
Once I saw the red/black leather seats, I had to sit in it.
Then I DROVE IT! Wow Zoom Zoom!
The sales guy (young kid, evidently VERY new to the car biz) took me down a curvy road, let me see how well it handled.
I got it for invoice, minus the 1500 rebate, and they paid off my car (Mitsubishi Galant ES that I was about 1000 upside down in, when you factor in mileage and that it needs some paint conditioning)

We had a time getting my child seat in it. (mainly first getting to the latch hooks and then one of the straps came undone on the seat, so I had to un-fasten the seat to get that put back right.

I'll have to work with my little spotter mirror so I can see my son better (it mounts to the windshield) and figure out where to store my CDs and whatnot. (the Mitsu had a nice CD storage place in the center console)

My wife doesn't think I'll like the silver, but after looking at it some, I'm really hooked on it.

by the way, I did make sure they had done the M flash, and even checked the tires and put in a new battery. (they had to jump it off when I test drove it, I didn't want to have to deal with battery issues)
