i did, but it was really convenient to just go to carmax because im a bit rusty on MT so it was pretty easy to get home because it was only a couple miles a way. but i think i got a hang of it now, except for the hills
but anyways, for me i thought it would be much easier to see all your blind spots since the car is much lower than other cars but when i started driving i noticed there are a ton of blind spots and the side mirrors are very small!
also i have been driving a Nissan Pathfinder for a couple years before i got the 8 and lets just say i forgot that the ride height of the RX-8 is pretty low in comparison and when i was parking, i kind of barely scraped the parking block
i mean how can you tell if your close enough?

Yeah, I never have any blindspot problems. Properly adjust your mirrors, use them, and you are good to go. Even an subcompact like an Aveo or something has either it's tail in my side mirror or it's nose in my window and peripheral vision. Either side. If you have to lean forward to check your mirrors, they are in the wrong spots.

Bro, I came from an SUV (Ford Exploder) to the 8, and let me tell you now, the blind spots, mirrors and rear view will always be 10x worse than they were in your truck. As for the scraping I did the same the first weekend with mine, you'll get used to the lenght and guesstimate. Enjoy, it's a really fun car.
