4 weeks ago today, I took my car in for the recall work. I had gotten the recall notices and made the appointment almost 2 weeks in advance. When I took it in, they said that the control arm joints were fine, and that they had inspected the fuel tank, and yes I did need to have the pad installed. They had to order the part and said it would take about a week to get it in. I wasn't very happy about that since even I knew that my car was supposed to have the pad installed based on the VIN number and it is a 150 mile round trip for me. I didn't understand why they didn't already have the part knowing my car was coming in for the work. They finally called on Wednesday and said the part was in. I took it in today.

The car does feel a little more zippy with the new flash. I'm not sure if it because it really is, or if it is because I have read other threads by people saying that their car seemed better.

Anyway, I'm glad that it's done.
