First car bought in 9 years
Well I lost my license when I was around 18 yrs old due to drinking and driving, a novice driver in Canada which the law has no leniency towards. I left the country after graduating to travel and become an adult and progress in my chosen field of becoming a great chef. I returned home at 22 years old, party worn, experienced yet novice still to find my driving problems were waiting for me. My fives at this point accumulated to the sum of around $2200, a road side violation is worth a whopping $1000 plus. So I figured the hell with that. I live in a large city, great transit I don't need to drive. Well Long story short.
Now turning thirty in a few days this has become a pinicle year in my life. A baby born, house bought around 20 km from my work, and no license due to now an accumulation of $4300 in driving fines, plus a requirement to complete a driving program ($1000). Somehow someway I have been able to pay off my fines completely through gruelling hours in a hot kitchen, honing my skills as a chef still. Finished the mandatory safe drivers program.
So around 3 months ago, an offer came up after all my economic funds had been expent into giving my new family a man who takes responsibility. A beautiful 04' rx8 owned by a friend who agrees to let me deposit $2000 upfront and continue $ 1000/m payments ( my idea, hate drawing our debt)
At this point in time, I fee
l broken and so poor, In this year I have made myself a notch in the old belt by seeing opportunity and not letting the obstacle of it stand in my way, truly becoming an adult and master chef. My story is not short or sweet, but the ability to overcome impossible odds through sheer willpower remains.
