Its good for it, unlike a conventional piston engine. High revs inject oil into the firing chamber, so everything stays lubricated.

for the record, mine doesnt beep at 8500 either, I have tested this many times and never gotten a beep.

No biggie though, I am too busy holding onto the wheel to listen for a beep

It's a sad, chime-y little beep. Unless you listen hard, you'll miss it. I did for the first month I had the car, and I know I redlined it about 8 times.

It feels like mine shuts off the fuel at around 9000 RPM. Is that true, and if so, how did you get to 9500?

it bounces off the limiter at 9300, the rotary is so smooth you don't realize it's time to shift.

I have noticed that if you avoid complete full throttle, the engine feels very natural. The secondaries kick in around 7k, and it hurls into the rev limiter. At full throttle throttle though, it struggles once the rpm gets high. Have fun. Dont forget the engine is only turning one-third the listed RPM -- you are just putting wear on the accessories (A/C, etc).
