So i will finally be driving my mazda no later than this friday. I've been reading this site for about a month or two now...reading up on any problems everyone here seems to have or whatnot. So make it short and sweet...What do i have to do to prevent my car from breaking? keep in mind im out of warranty. and please be sure to include any info on flooding

One Shot One Kill
1st of all... don't crash it
2nd commandment: do not shut the car off cold
3rd commandment: do check oil and refill as necessary every other fill up
4th commandment: i will not rev above 4k rpm before warm
4th commandment: i will redline as often as i can afford to.

Welcome and congrats. You shouldn't be worried about your car breaking. Just pay attention to the oil level/changes and having the car warmed up before shutting off. Most of us have never flooded our cars ever.
