i saw a local car with that exact hood. looked good at first glance, but after looking closer, i noticed the hood wasn't wide enough, it left a pretty big gap on the driver side - roughly 2 - 2.5x larger gap than the stock hood would have left..

also the smaller vents were just for show, they didn't actually vent.

^ Ike, I would have said the same thing, but unless he's willing to go all out with FI, there really aren't many performance mods that matter.

I was thinking more along the lines of handling mods like coilovers, strut braces, SS lines, performance pads, motul fluid, lighter more performance oriented wheels, maybe even a shortshifter. Not this ricer nonsense...

Not true, any venting of the engine heat is good. It is 2x or more than a piston engine.

I swaer in the summer you can almost cook eggs on the hood. It's way too hot to touch in the center.

I agree the Axis wheels don't look so hot, maybe it's the huge gap between the spokes on the 19".
As far as the hood it loked better than most for fit, but still a large gap.

Sorry, I can't live with then gap. But I know you can.

Save money, use the stock fog lights. They work well. Go down to True Value and pick up a metal roll with predrilled holes in it. Use that for a bracket, or get someone to make you a bracket. Put the fogs where you like them, not where others like them.

And as far as wheels and hood goes........ choose the ones you like, not others.

You have to drive it and live with it.

If we must tell you what to do, can we tell you what clothes to wear?

I'll pick a flower power shirt and stripped bell bottom pants. That will go well with the 8.

nah, we all go through this.

first mods i did was larger rims and exhaust. Add in intake and that's the most popular 3 mods for the 8.

Later on as the car starts to age, and you lose warranty, you start to think about FI.

our stock hood is aluminum which disapates heat better than a cf hood would. cf with vents, im still not sure it would help heat as much as the aluminum would

We don't believe you.

We called your bluff. It was over 30 pages.

You never posted picture of the kit.

I think we are gonna call you Bluesky.

I wouldn't be surprised if a Honda Civic smoked you without a turbo.
