Flashing CEL

I was driving to work today after 15 min the check engine light is flashing then it goes away. When I was coming home and I gunned it started flashing again and goes away after 1 min. The car feels normal, I don't what it can be. Do you guys think its a serious problem or could wait until monday? I want to go the dealer tommorrow but I know they are really busy on saturday.

Like I said in a thread before, I can almost guarantee that it's not a serious problem. If you're that worried, run to pepboys or any other similar auto parts store and have them pull your codes with a OBD II scanner; it's free. It could be something stupid like your gas cap, or a loose spark plug cap.

What gear were you in when it started flashing? Is it still on, or did it dissapear?

I'm not saying that's what's causing your CEL.. but Yeah, I'd hit up Mazda for the battery/starter/spark recall... tell them you've been having some hard starts. Anyhow, I wouldn't stress it too much.

I already got that recall, the car flooded while they were installing my new clutch and flywheel. I was thinking of the thermal damage recall. Thanks for the help
